ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Rachel, a relationship therapist in Los Angeles helping women create the fulfilling relationships they desire.

Maybe you've found yourself repeating the same relationship patterns or wondering why healthy, secure relationships feel so difficult to build. You may long for that soul-deep connection but find yourself getting caught in cycles of people-pleasing, overthinking, avoidance and fear of abandonment. If any of that sounds familiar, you're definitely not alone.

Our relationships, with ourselves, and others are challenging, nuanced, and sometimes confusing! My own desire to improve my relationship with myself and others was one of the key reasons I started doing my own self work, going to therapy, and also what inspired me to become a relationship therapist. On my own journey, I discovered that healing wasn't about being a “perfect” person or finally finding the "perfect" partner. It was about understanding myself better, the patterns I had developed, learning where they came from and creating a healthier relationship with myself first so that I could learn to show up differently.

Today, I help women across Los Angeles and California better understand the patterns shaping their relationships with romantic partners, family, friends and themselves. Together, we'll explore the beliefs and attachment patterns that may be keeping you stuck, strengthen your self-understanding and your ability to communicate your needs and set healthy boundaries so you feel confident in building authentic and fulfilling relationships.

MY APPROACH

Holistic relationship therapy for women in Los Angeles who want to heal their relationship with themselves and others

I believe that healing happens through relationships. The therapeutic relationship we build together can become a safe space to experience what healthy connection actually feels like. A connection based on trust, honesty, vulnerability and open communication. My goal is that as you begin to feel seen, understood and supported in our work together, you'll naturally begin carrying those experiences into your relationships outside of therapy.

My work is primarily grounded in Attachment-based and Relational Therapy. Together, we'll explore how your earliest relationships may have shaped the way you connect with others today, identify your attachment style and better understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. From there, we'll work toward building more secure, fulfilling relationships by developing healthier ways of communicating, setting boundaries and learning how to respond to conflict differently.

While many women come to therapy because of challenges in their romantic relationships, my work extends far beyond dating or marriage. The same patterns often show up in our relationships with friends, family members, colleagues and (perhaps most importantly) in the relationship we have with ourselves.

MY PROCESS

What to expect from relationship therapy with me

Every therapy journey looks a little different and there's no "right" way to do therapy. Whether you're coming to therapy for the first time or returning after time away, I'll meet you where you are and guide you through the process with compassion and care.

1. Getting to know each other

I always offer a complimentary 20-min consultation on the phone so you can meet me, talk about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and decide whether we would be a good fit moving forward.

2. Building a foundation of trust

Our first few sessions together will mainly focus on getting to know you and what life looks like for you. My main goal is to establish a relationship where you feel safe enough to be completely yourself - no fear or judgement.

3. Finding immediate relief

Once our relationship is established, we’ll shift focus to helping you navigate what you’re currently struggling with most. I’ll share practical tools and coping skills that you can use to navigate tricky emotions and regulate your nervous system.

4. Understanding the deeper patterns

As your day-to-day mental health improves, we’ll start exploring some of the deeper experiences, relationships and beliefs that have shaped who you are and how you move through the world so you can achieve meaningful, long-lasting change.

5. Growing through life's seasons

For some women, therapy becomes more than just a place to work through a single challenge. Our therapeutic relationship becomes a consistent space for support and growth throughout all of life’s different chapters - from first entering womanhood to becoming a mother and beyond.
