Anxiety Therapy for Women in Los Angeles, California

Anxiety therapy helps women better understand the thoughts, emotions, and patterns that keep anxiety going. As an anxiety therapist in Los Angeles, I take a holistic approach that combines practical tools for managing anxiety with deeper exploration of the experiences and beliefs that may be contributing to it.

SOUND FAMILIAR?

Anxiety therapy may be right for you if …

Living with anxiety is an exhausting experience. From the outside, you may look like you have it all together, showing up for work, your relationships or your children. But on the inside, you may be living with a very different reality.

  • Your mind is constantly racing with worries, overthinking or intrusive thoughts

  • You find it difficult to relax or switch off, even when there's nothing urgent to do

  • You often find yourself expecting the worst or catastrophizing situations

  • You feel overwhelmed by certain activities or scenarios that once felt manageable

  • You tend to be a bit of a perfectionist or people-pleaser

  • You struggle with navigating stress and how to recover from it

  • You have trouble falling asleep or staying asleep and never really feel rested

  • Your nervous system often goes into fight/flight/freeze or fawn response

CHANGE IS POSSIBLE

Anxiety therapy for women in Los Angeles can help!

Anxiety symptoms can be incredibly persistent but they don't have to stay that way. If you’re tired of the endless overthinking and worrying, therapy can help you quiet the constant mental chatter and feel more present in your day-to-day life. Together, we can help you unlearn negative thought patterns and improve your nervous system regulation skills so you can start to respond with intention, rather than react with your current anxious patterns.

ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Rachel, an anxiety therapist in Los Angeles helping women relearn how to slow down and live with intention.

In our modern world, anxiety has become so incredibly common that many women just assume it's something we have to live with. We push through the racing thoughts, keep ourselves busy and carry the emotional weight of constant worry. It can feel like the world is demanding more and more of us and rarely do we give ourselves permission to slow down and prioritize ourselves. If any of that sounds familiar, you're definitely not alone.

On my own journey, I discovered that healing wasn't necessarily about eliminating every anxious thought. It was about learning to understand myself with greater compassion and feeling safe enough to slow down so I could create a life that felt more intentional and aligned. Therapy is one of the most helpful tools to manage, minimize and understand anxiety symptoms that are showing up for you.

MY APPROACH

Holistic anxiety therapy for women in Los Angeles who want regain a sense of calm and stop their anxiety at the root

My approach to anxiety therapy is primarily based on creating a space for you to feel 100% safe and comfortable. With me, there will be no wrong responses, no judgement, no embarrassment no matter what you may be experiencing. Once we have that kind of relationship established, we’ll focus on trying to understand what your day-to-day life looks like, where your anxiety shows up and what you’re already doing to try to manage it.

My anxiety treatment focuses on two main areas: holistically helping you reduce symptoms in the moment (that includes coping skills and lifestyle changes) while also trying to understand where your anxiety is coming from and addressing the root causes so we can reduce your anxiety in the long run.

Because no two women experience anxiety the same, I integrate a variety of evidence-based modalities to create a treatment plan that is tailored to you as an individual. That usually includes psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as somatic therapy and mindfulness strategies to help you reconnect and feel safe in your body.

MY PROCESS

I always offer a complimentary 20-min consultation on the phone so you can meet me, talk about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and decide whether we would be a good fit moving forward.

1. Getting to know each other

I always offer a complimentary 20-min consultation on the phone so you can meet me, talk about what brings you to therapy, ask any questions you may have and decide whether we would be a good fit moving forward.

2. Building a foundation of trust

Our first few sessions together will mainly focus on getting to know you and what life looks like for you. My main goal is to establish a relationship where you feel safe enough to be completely yourself - no fear or judgement.

3. Finding immediate relief

Once our relationship is established, we’ll shift focus to helping you navigate what you’re currently struggling with most. I’ll share practical tools and coping skills that you can use to navigate tricky emotions and regulate your nervous system.

4. Understanding the deeper patterns

As your day-to-day mental health improves, we’ll start exploring some of the deeper experiences, relationships and beliefs that have shaped who you are and how you move through the world so you can achieve meaningful, long-lasting change.

5. Growing through life's seasons

For some women, therapy becomes more than just a place to work through a single challenge. Our therapeutic relationship becomes a consistent space for support and growth throughout all of life’s different chapters - from first entering womanhood to becoming a mother and beyond.
